Privacy Policy

Avisto is a mobile app that helps business owners read the Google reviews of their locations and reply to them. This policy explains what information the app and this website handle, why, and what your rights are. It takes into account Quebec’s Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector).

Who is responsible

Avisto is published by Anton Baranov, as a sole proprietor, in Quebec, Canada. The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Anton Baranov. For any question or request: support@avisto.app.

In short

  • Avisto has no server that stores your reviews, templates or replies. Everything is saved only on your device.
  • The app talks directly to Google to read your reviews and publish your replies. We do not see those exchanges.
  • We never sell or share your information, and we use no advertising or tracking tools.

What the app handles

  • Google sign-in. When you connect your account, Avisto receives an access token from Google to manage your business profile (Google Business Profile). The token is kept in your phone’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android) and is never sent to our servers.
  • Reviews and replies. The reviews of your locations (the author’s display name, rating, text, date) and the replies you write are downloaded from Google and saved in a local database on your device.
  • Your settings. Business name, signature, city, custom tags, reply templates and interface language are saved locally.

This information is used only to run the app: showing your reviews, suggesting a reply template, and publishing, editing or removing a reply on your Google profile.

Use of Google user data

Avisto’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In practice, Avisto uses Google data only to provide the features described above; does not transfer it to anyone except where required by law; does not sell it; does not use it for advertising; does not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models and does not send it to third-party AI services; and does not allow humans to read it unless you give explicit consent or it is needed for security or legal compliance.

Avisto never publishes, edits or deletes a reply on your Google profile without an explicit action from you in the app.

The only scope requested is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage, which is needed to read reviews and manage replies on your profile.

Information about reviewers. Reviews contain the display name and comments of third parties (your customers). This information is saved only on your device, is used only to show it to you and to compose your replies, and is passed to no one. Saved reviews are refreshed each time the app syncs with Google.

This website

The avisto.app website uses no tracking cookies, analytics or advertising. Like any host, our provider (Amazon Web Services) may keep standard technical logs (for example the IP address and time of a visit) for security and reliability. The site is hosted in Canada. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not disclose your information to any third party. The only data exchanges are those your device makes directly with Google, under Google’s terms and privacy policy. These exchanges are made by your device, at your request; we ourselves do not transfer any personal information outside Quebec. Google may, however, process the information outside Quebec under its own policy.

Retention and deletion

  • Local data stays on your device as long as you keep the app. Uninstalling Avisto erases all local data.
  • To remove Avisto’s access to your profile: in your Google account, open “Security”, then “Your connections to third-party apps and services”, and remove Avisto (page myaccount.google.com/permissions). After that, Avisto can no longer access your profile.
  • Removing a reply in the app also deletes it from your Google profile.

Your rights

You may ask for access to the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent at any time. Because the app’s data is on your device, you already control it directly; for email exchanges with us, write to support@avisto.app. You may also file a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

Security

Access tokens are stored in the operating system’s secure storage, and all communication with Google uses HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security; protect your phone with a passcode or biometric authentication.

Children

Avisto is intended for business owners and managers. It is not meant for people under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page; for any significant change, we will say so in the app or on this site.
